Could you post a list of the retailers that don't want to carry it? Perhaps if THEY heard from enough disgruntled consumers, some of whom might no longer be interested in their other wares, they might decide to ask for it...

Mandy made one other comment that has concerned me - "the Tide Simple Pleasures product has past its ship date and we are no longer allowed to sell it.". Is there an expiration/sell-by date? Does this mean the the bottles of detergent that so many here have so carefully sought and saved are going to expire on us?

Hi Mandy [ that is SO disappointing. I appreciate your efforts but am very disappointed in Tide / PG's actions. It's obvious from this thread that many many people liked the L&V scent. There are so many messages on this thread that they had to truncate it and there are still people posting elsewhere that had to be merged into this thread. (If this thread only shows 15 replies, is your going to disappear before people even get a chance to see it?).

Surely P&G can see that there is a market for this product! And if there wasn't, why would they produce yet another lavender scented detergent?! (Which so far everyone seems to agree is just not the same). I'm not that concerned with whether L&V is available as Simple Pleasures or some other variation; I am interested in the continuation of that scent. Isn't there some way that P&G can continue that wonderful scent in one of their other lines?

I suppose I'll need to find another manufacturer with a scent as similar as possible to our beloved L&V. (Hmmm, maybe the next email effort by this group should be to convince another company to create a similar scent). – Lurker, on February 03, 2010 01:08
