Inappropriate?Hi Pete - Unfortunately Tide to Go works better on fresh food and drink stains. Blood is a tough one, so if you need a clean shirt you might need to go home and get a new shirt.
The good news is that you should be able to get the stain out in the wash, I had a look at the Stain Solutions tool and it suggests:
1) Brush the excess stain off the surface of the fabric by using a soft bristle brush.
2) Rinse in cold water to dilute the stain.
3) Using a PLASTIC bucket, create a soak solution by adding 1/2 use TideĀ® per gallon of water. Allow the garment to soak for up to 30 minutes, weighting the item with a WHITE towel to keep it totally submerged. Discard your soak solution appropriately when you're finished.
4) Wash in warm water with 1 use of TideĀ®.
However, I had my nephews visiting last week and tried Tide Stain Release for the first time, it worked so well my sister took a pack back with her to Denmark! I would highly recommend throwing a Tide Stain Release in the wash with the stained shirt.
GOOD LUCK!
Mandy

Inappropriate?Hi Dave,
Referencing Mandy's response above, Tide To Go works best on fresh food and drink stains, because those are the stains it was specifically designed to remove. If possible, I would definitely recommend Mandy's course of action to ensure the stain comes out. If you don't have that option, then I would use your best judgement. My wife once used Tide To Go to get a blood stain out of her pants after she cut her leg shaving in the shower, but the stain was fresh and pretty small. Not having more details on your situation, it's hard to tell whether they are comparable.
Best,

Inappropriate?you might have better luck using hydrogene peroxide(the brown bottles you get at the drug store for $1.00).. that is what medical persons use to remove blood.. seriously..
