Blue Stains!!
I have a new front loader, I use the liquid tide he. When the machine starts and dumps water and detergent onto clothes, it is staining the clothes. My whites have blue stains and also my light colors. Re-washing without soap does not remove the stains.
I'm not a happy camper!! Ruined a brand new blouse and tank top.

Inappropriate?I have at least 2 shirts that are now ruined, a white t-shirt of my sons and a brand new polo shirt of my husbands. Nothing works to remover the stains.
I’m angry

Inappropriate?I have lots of clothes that have also been ruined. I've had to switch to a dye and perfume free detergent because I have destroyed too many of my favorite things. I wish there was a way to use Tide and not have it stain my clothes
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?i used tide pure essentials w/ baking soda, diluted it and spot cleaned a new jacket.....it took the color right off i now have a nice white spot. totally not wearable.
i'm so upset

Inappropriate?I'm really sorry to hear about this. It is hard to help without having all of the details; can I suggest you call our consumer relations experts on 1-800-879-8433 ?
I’m sad

Inappropriate? Is there any way to get rid of the blue stains? I just machine washed some shirts that I usually dry clean...front load using Tide Total Care h.e. and I have the exact same problem. I hate to be "that guy", especially because I was the one who couldn't wait 48 hours to go to the dry cleaners...but I'm still upset. Just so happens to be my $300 Turnbull shirts. I'm soaking all the shirts in water for a couple days to see what'll happen. And yes I would sue, but the irony is I make my living defending product liability lawsuits.
I’m wow, just wow

I highly recommend calling 1-800-879-8433 - hopefully they can help you. -
Inappropriate?I just called the 800 number and the guy I spoke to acted as if I was the first person to call with this problem. I told him that the internet as well the TIDE site all but explodes with echos of my situation and he didn't have much comment.
Anyway, he rattled off some possible reasons, non of which could/should have caused my blue stains but is cutting me a check to cover the damage. So I'm guessing they get calls like this more than they are letting on. I know I under estimated the value of my loss but know that I can replace the things I was truly upset were ruined. This isn't the first time this has happened but the first time I've lost something I was upset about. Should have learned my lesson in the past but at least I know not to tempt fate with Tide again.
I wish Tide made a product with scent but no dye - I dont' like the dye & scent free stuff. Guess I'll be switching to something else.
I’m over it

Tide does make scent and dye free for HE and for normal top washers
For HE front and HE top washers: http://www.tide.com/en-US/product/tid...
For normal top washers: http://www.tide.com/en-US/product/tid...
Tide also came out with cold water that free of dye and scent free for normal top washers and HE washers.

Inappropriate?I knew it was the laundry detergent! I just switched to tide and all the new clothes my husband and I purchased have these odd stains and discolorations on them. I still have the receipts for the clothes and the discolored clothes to prove it. I have an HE washer and purchase have had it for years and have never had this problem before I switched to Tide over 2 months ago. The clothes were costly and are now ruined. I will be seeking reimbursement for the clothes and the brand new $20 bottle of Tide and Stain Release packets I bought to get out the stains, which did not work by the way. I came on to the Tide website in search of answers and boy did I find them. I can not believe this product is still on the market. The Tide bottle I purchased says it isfor HE washers and it has ruined my family's clothes. Tide had better fix this problem or I have every intention of pursuing the issue.

I recommend you call our Consumer Relations Team on 1-800-879-8433. I'm concerned that your clothes have stained blue - Tide Total Care liquid is light orange in color so that seems very strange. -
Inappropriate?Wow, thats really weird I've been using a front loader and TIde for over 10yrs and I have never had that problem. I just love how my whites get bright. Even when my daughter dumps too much Tide in the machine things don't get blue stains. Maybe it's the water or the machine? Have you checked your settings on the machine? We have hard water in so.california thats been treated with so many chemicals it works just great with Tide.
I’m dumbfounded
-
Inappropriate? The only problem I had with Tide HE 2X was itchy skin on my chest and a rash in my groin area when I worked out and sweated. I have added an extra rinse to my machine's cycle and now have clean clothes and no rashes. I recommend an extra rinse.
I’m satisfied

Inappropriate?I've gotten several updates sent to me on this post with people replying that Tide makes Scent and Dye free - if you read the last of my post I said that I wish Tide made SCENTED but DYE free. I don't use Tide any more I switched to WalMart brand Lavender and it works just as good as Tide ever did. Has a nice scent (not into the scent that the Generation, or whatever its called has) but is only slightly tinted so I haven't had any problems with blue stains - imagine that! It's a heck of a lot cheaper too!! It comes in he for my front loader and has a matching fabric softener.

Inappropriate?Same thing has been happening to me. Called Tide and they said they would send a coupon for two free bottles of Tide...but I don't want anymore Tide!!
I’m disappointed

Inappropriate?I didn't bother to call since I never had the time, and its been a year since I made the complaint. I also didn't like the reply to call so they could get more details. Hello. Washed clothes in Tide total care, clothes came out with blue stains on them. Yes I know it was the Tide that did it because I didn't have this problem when I use other laundry soap. No it was not the water and an extra rinse would do NOTHING to get the stain out. I have not used Tide since. Nothing I tried got the stains out.
-
Inappropriate?Just purchased Tide for the first time. I believed the hype and spent the extra money on what I thought to be a better product. I thought it was the stain lifter, not stain causer. I didn't have any blue items in the wash - all lights/whites. Now all ruined with blue streaks. I immediately rewashed everything now it's light blue streaks. I never had a problem with other detergents that were A LOT LESS $$$. I used Tide Plus with Bleach Alternative. Now marketing with the Active Lift. More like BS lift. I will never purchase nor endorse the product again!!! Oh I did add water to the wash machine first then added soap while it was filling up and waited till almost full to add clothes.

Inappropriate? It sounds like the water. Maybe that causing the problem and the water having broke down the dye. I think high mineral can affect or too much cloine in the water. Have you use Tide Free that have no dyes. I have city water and have no problem with Stain Release Duo Pac In-Wash Booster.
