Early morning dilemma
My Blog Entry
Dear Friends, have a look at the picture and digest!
I know it seems like a strange opening to today's ramble but in view of my early morning experience I thought it was worth the request
On a normal day I rise early, get up, make tea and toasted Marmite fingers, have a leisurely read while eating, then enjoy a silent period and a bit of birdwatching before getting fully attired.
Not so this morning. I rose early and dressed in my best outfit, a white top and pink skirt, suitable for an event I have to attend this afternoon. The change came about because workmen were expected. Everything was done out of sequence.
Before popping bread in the toaster I loaded the washing machine and set it to wash. I damped and blow-dried my hair then started to apply make-up. That's when everything went wrong. The foundation cream in it's squirty container decided to squirt it's contents all over the white blouse. My best white blouse!
Panic stricken, I grabbed a stain removing product that is guaranteed to remove stains, treated the blouse, then put it in the wash. What happened? Nothing! The stain was as good as new when it came out of the machine. I'm not referring to the product in the above picture, that's there to indicate my success
Tide-to-Go, a product only sold in the US and Canada and maybe one other country, was sent to me by my Stepdaughter when she worked in the States. Tide-to-Go is a fantastic product and anyone who possesses it should carry it around with them in case of emergencies. Mine was nearing the end of it's life and since it's not sold in this country, and since Stepdaughter is no longer in the States, I was guarding the last drops with my life.
Second treatment of the blouse was another attempt at stain removing. You can see by the picture the colour of the stain on the blouse - I had tissued the surplus away before washing. I got my last remaining Tide-to-Go and worked it into the stain, gently rubbing it into the fibres. I could see the colour gradually fading and rejoiced. Hubby rejoiced, and the neighbours cat joined in. Back in the washing machine went the blouse and out it came pristine white.
Hallelujah!
Now to my quandary, how on earth can I get Tide-to-Go in the UK?
