Losing a loyal customer
My wife has been a loyal Tide user for over fifty years. You have finally priced yourself out of our reach.
We are not interested in all the additives and/or t-shirts,just a dependable detergent at an acceptable price. I don't imagine that this message will get very far up the ladder but we have become very discouraged that Tide wouldn't leave a good product as is.

Inappropriate?Besides coupons, would you reduce the PRICE of TIDE DETERGENT? I grew up on Tide detergnet, and like everything about the product but the price. TIDE is at the least $1.00 more than the next leading brand. I understand you say U have more detergent they have more water. The economy has me trying othe products to save money. Thes products often has my family's skin itching. I end up mixing TIDE with cheaper brands to save money. I'd like to continue using TIDE but it seems to have become a LUXURY ITEM now. PLEASE LOWER THE PRICE.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Well here is my input for what it's worth. Check the costs of shipping and taxes for the areas you live. Look at the local economy. You can get Tide way cheaper in Tennessee than you can in New York. A lot of that has to do with the shipping, taxes, and local economy.
Also, I tried the whole cheaper detergent thing. You end up having to use twice as much just to get semi good results. I ended up going back to Tide. On top of that I don't have to use as much. For an average load that is not heavily soiled I only fill the measure cap or scoop to half of line one. My clothes come out fine. If there are heavliy stained clothes, I pretreat with a little Tide liquid and still only fill the measure cap or scoop to half of line one. Clothes come out clean.
I hope this helps. Just try to remember that most comapnies today, not just PG, are trying to get their products out to their customers with as low of a price as possible. Unfortunately, they can not control the local economy, the distance in shipping, or taxes. -
Inappropriate?some stores set the prices, like Wal-Mart but the managers of Wal-Mart set the prices for their stores.

Inappropriate?I do buy my Tide at Wal-Mart and since my post 9 mos ago, the price has dropped considerably. I had switched to Gain and really liked it but now Tide is cheaper so i switched back! Thanks for the info.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Try Family dollar and Dollar general. Never thought I'd have 2 shop around 4 laundry detergent or wait 4 it to go on sale. LOL
