Suds for Marathon!
I live in a small city in the Florida Keys - Marathon (33050). A week and a half ago our ONLY laudramat burned down. Donna Farmer was the owner of the business. Now we have no laundry facilities for our city. Ms Farmer is hoping to reopen, but doesn't know when it will be possible, due to the insurance investigators. We Need Clean Clothes!

Inappropriate?We are a very isolated Island Community. While there are many wealthy people here there are also many working class folks who absolutely depend on this laundrymat for clean clothes. Please give consideration to our request. Thanks for all you do!! Sherry Popham

Inappropriate?In addition to the working people in Marathon who live on land, there are a number of people who live aboard boats that don't have a washer and dryer. This might not be a big storm-related disaster, but the destruction of this laundromat presents a terrible hardship to many people in our town. Please help. Thank you for considering our pleas.

Inappropriate?We need your help Loads of Hope. We are doing a benefit for Donna Farmer of our ONLY laundrymat to help her rebuild and restock after a devastating fire. We will be doing this benefit on July 26th, 2009 from 4-10pm at the Stuffed Pig Restaurant in Marathon and we were hoping that you could bring a Washer/Dryer truck to help us and the people of Marathon the day of the benefit. Inappropriate?If Tide won't do it for free maybe you guys could pay them per load the same thing you paid Donna's. As for Donna, was she insured? If not, maybe Tide could loan her a business loan to get back in business.
