Yes, I've had several items of clothing ruined by inexplicable streaking - and I finally figured out the culprit - Tide Total Care.
I'm a single mom on a tight budget and this is a very costly problem. The irony is I bought the Tide Total Care in order to keep my clothes looking nice so they would last longer to wear.

I knew it was the laundry detergent! I just switched to tide and all the new clothes my husband and I purchased have these odd stains and discolorations on them. I still have the receipts for the clothes and the discolored clothes to prove it. I have an HE washer and purchase have had it for years and have never had this problem before I switched to Tide over 2 months ago. The clothes were costly and are now ruined. I will be seeking reimbursement for the clothes and the brand new $20 bottle of Tide and Stain Release packets I bought to get out the stains, which did not work by the way. I came on to the Tide website in search of answers and boy did I find them. I can not believe this product is still on the market. The Tide bottle I purchased says it isfor HE washers and it has ruined my family's clothes. Tide had better fix this problem or I have every intention of pursuing the issue.

Yes, I used it and am still trying to remove some light brown stains from my light colored polyester tops.

Staining- ruining a lot of my white light colored clothing ....this is why I came to this site.Needless to say I am not impressed with the Tide total care its more like total loss, as I have tried several methods to remove the stains it made on my clothing. I think this product needs to be pulled from the shelves

Don't bother if you're actually looking to fix the problem. I called and all the person would do is read a script that repeats that this product will NOT cause stains. They sent me a coupon for a new bottle but that's the last thing I want!

This is the 2nd bottle of Tide Total Care I have bought. The first bottle was fine. Then today I washed a brand new set of towels with a new bottle of Tide Total Care. The towels came out completely discolored, almost like I had put some kind of bleach in there. The ONLY things in the washer were the new towels, tide and water. I followed the washing guidelines by the towel maker strictly. I'm so angry. I don't have money to waste. This is the first time I've seen a detergent do this, and hopefully the last. I'm NEVER buying Tide again! And if "Consumer Relations" tries to give me a coupon for Tide, Lord help us all! Like Sara said, it's the last thing I want. When I worked in CR and my company messed up, we gave people money to go buy the product of their choosing. Guess that doesn't happen anymore.

I recently purchased 2 bottles of Tide Free HE Cold Water and have used Tide Stain Release In-Wash Booster in several loads of clothes. I noticed several articles (sheets & towels) had mysterious holes in them and although not new, were hardly worn enough to have holes. Then my husband's cargo shorts came out of the wash with what looked like holes from acid -- strange, but I still didn't connect the dots. Then my new cotton navy capris came out with a pink streaking and 2 of the same type holes in the fabric. Finally, now I see the connection! I've been using Tide products for more than 25 years, and never had problems. I am soooooo disappointed in these products! Will P&G make good for my clothing? I certainly don't want a coupon for either of these products.

I like how Tide has yet to truly address the problem. Yes your product does cause stains, look at all the complaints you have gotten about the problem.
Yes we know what color the detergent is...Orange, that being said it still causes blue stains. All calling does is get you being told it doesn't cause stains and a coupon for a more of the stuff that caused the problem...why not look into the problem instead of telling us to call. I have not bought Tide since and probably wont ever buy it again.

The same thing happened to me! I tried the customer service line, and it is closed on Sundays. Has anyone found a solution? Has anyone tried the Rit dye remover? I'm so bummed, and I'm really in a pickle because I need the stains out today.

The Tide Stain Release packets have ruined many articles of our clothing and it seems to happen on light colored clothing. This has happened to me on 3 seperate packages. I thought it was user error at first but this is NOT the case!!
